Arsene Wenger confirms extention of his stay at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has confirmed he will extend his stay at Arsenal following their FA Cup success yesterday.
The Gunners came from two goals down to beat Hull City 3-2 in extra-time thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s excellent finish.

Asked after the match whether he would stay on at the Emirates Stadium, the Frenchman replied: “Yes, I will. I always said my future doesn’t depend on this, but I wanted to wait and see how it goes.”

Wenger feels the result could be the turning point for the Gunners to kick on to greater things.
“It’s a turning point in the life of this team. They know they can win. In that way it's very important,” he told ITV.

“It would have been terrible, but we came back. I’ve praised the spirit of this team and I’m very proud of that.”
Wenger joined Arsenal in 1996.
