APC Condemns Oba of Lagos' Threats on Igbos in strong terms

Earlier this week it was reported that the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu had threatened that the Igbo people in Lagos State would all drown inside the lagoon should they fail to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode in forth coming Saturday’s Governorship election.

The APC party has strongly condemned such statement  made by Rilwan Akiolu which has been causing a little divison. According to them the Oba does not speak for the party.


Reacting to this the party took to twitter to condemn such comment by Oba which he made on 5th April, read tweets below:

"The Oba of Lagos does not speak for APC, from Gen. Buhari down to Desmond Elliot, even true APC supporters, no hate speeches made so far"

"Bad is bad, irrespective of where it comes from, we highly condemn the comments made by the highly respected Oba of Lagos in strong terms"
