Chelsea reach agreement to sign Abdul Baba Rahman

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Augsburgfor the transfer of Abdul Baba Rahman,the club has confirmed on their official website.
Although the transfer fee has remained unclosed, but reports claim that its around £21.7m.


Jose Mourinhohad earlier stressed the importance of signing a left-back in the summer after Filipe Luiswas allowed to leave to join his old club Atletico Madrid.

Baba Rahman’s arrival could see Cesar Azpilicuetabeing shifted to right back in place of Branislav Ivanovic.

The 21-year-old defender has expressed his joy to have signed for Chelsea and says he can’t wait to train with his new team mates.
