Suvra Mukherjee, first lady India died today at the age of 74. Mrs Mukherjee died from complications from a respiratory disorders at the Army Hospital, Delhi.
She died after a cardiac arrest. She was on ventilato
r till the time of her death," hospital PRO Sanjay Kumar said. Her body has been laid-in-state where guests are paying their last respect at the presidential residence. She will be cremated tomorrow.
She is survived by her husband, India's President Pranab Mukherjee, a daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee and two sons Abhijit Mukherjee and Indrajit Mukherjee.
