12 Inspiring Things My Grandmother Told Me Before She Died

Twelve most inspiring tips from grandmother Zelda, which she left to their offspring before dying.

When my grandmother died Zelda few years ago at age 90, she left me a box of things from her home, which she knew I appreciated through the year, when I grow up. Among other things, there was an old leather-bound journal, which she gave a very apt name, “Journal of Inspiration.”

In the second half of her life she recorded in this log your ideas, thoughts, quotes, lyrics and other things that troubled her. She read excerpts from the magazine to me when I grew up, and I listen and ask questions. I sincerely believe that some of that wisdom which now have me, she gave me when I was young.

Today I want to share with you some of these inspirational passages. I did my best to organize, edit and compile the contents of 12 points. Enjoy!

1. Breathe in the future, exhale the past.

It does not matter where you are, and after that you have to go, always believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Do not wait, do not assume and do not require. Just do what you can do, and the rest, so be it, as is. Because as soon as you do something that can happen that was going to happen, or you will see the next step that needs to be done.

2.Life can be more simple.

Just focus on any one thing. You do not have to do everything at once, and you do not have to do anything right now. Breathe, live, and do what is right in front of you. What you put into life, life will return to you after a while.

3.Let others take you such as you are, or do not accept at all.

Speak the truth, even if your voice quivers. As is, you bring the beauty of the place where it was not yet in the world. Go confidently its path, and do not expect a different understanding of the way, especially if they do not know where you’re going.

4.You’re not the person that you were before, and that’s fine.

You have gone through many ups and downs, to become who you are now. Over the years, many things happened that changed your views, you have presented lessons and made you grow strong in spirit. Time goes by, and no one is in place, but some people will still tell you that you have changed. Tell them: “Of course, I’ve changed. As always happens in life. But I’m still the same person, just a little bit stronger than it was before. ”

5.Everything that happens, helps us grow, even if it is hard to understand now.

Circumstances will always be sent, change and improve you. So whatever you do – continue to hope. The most slender thread turn into a very strong rope. Let hope be your anchor, believe in what is not the end of your story, and that the tide will change the tide that will eventually bring you to the quiet shores.

6.Do not aspire to be rich, strive to be happy.

And when you get older, you will see the value of things, not their price. Eventually, you will come to understand that the best days – are those in which you smile without any extraordinary occasion. Appreciate moments and be grateful for them, not looking for anything, nothing more. This is the essence of true happiness.

7.Be resolute and cheerful.

Understand that the majority of your suffering and failures are caused not by the circumstances and your attitude towards them. Smile at those who are jealous of you and tries to hurt, show them something that is lacking in their lives, which they can never take away from you.

8.Be sensitive to those who are dear to you.

Sometimes, when a loved one says, “I’m fine,” you need to look into his eyes, hug and say, “I know not.” And do not be upset if you think that some people remember about you only when you need them. Find satisfaction in the fact that for other people to you – the beacon of light to which they go when their lives are surrounded by darkness.

9.Sometimes you have to let go of a person in order for him to grow.

Because the most important thing in his life – not what you do for him, but what you taught him to do for himself in order to become successful.

10. Sometimes, to get the result you need to remove yourself from the people who do not share your interests.

This will free up space for those who support you in your vision itself. It occurs spontaneously as you grow. When you know who you are and what you want, you will begin to understand that the people you know, do not always look at things the way you do. So you can keep the wonderful memories, and allow yourself to move on.

11. It is better to look back and say, “I can not believe I did it,” than to say “I’m sorry that I did it.”

In the end, people in any case will judge you. So no need to live life trying to impress others. Live to impress yourself. Love yourself enough to not reduce their level for others.

12. If you are expecting a happy ending, but do not see it, maybe it’s time to look for a new beginning.

Look at ourselves and accept the fact that you also have the right from time to time to make mistakes. The only way you learn. Strong people laugh at problems sincere laugh, they have acquired this skill in a heavy battle. They smile because they know they will not allow anything to pull them down, and they go towards a new beginning.
