Barely one day after he was banned from all football related activities alongside UEFA’s Michel Platini, Leicester’s De Montfort University has withdrawn the Arts and Humanities degree it awarded the 79-year old in 2005.

The withdrawal was disclosed by Leicester Mercury in a tweet which has since gone viral.
