Sacked Abia Governor, Ikpeazu Heads To Supreme Court - See Notice Of Appeal (PHOTOS)

The Peoples Democratic Party, Abia state chapter has rejected the judgement of the Court of Appeal sacking Governor Okezie Ikpeazu

In a statement issued by Governor Ikpeazu's Senior Special Adviser on Public Communications, Sam Hart, the party expressed its decision to challenge the judgement of the Appeal Court and has filed an appeal at the Supreme Court to this effect.

The Supreme Court has until March 2, 2016 to decide the matter in line with the amended Electoral Act.

Sam Hart however stated that the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Appeal Court Judgment had not been received by the party 5 days clear after the judgement was given in a time-bound manner.

The party therefore only filed the Appeal to the Supreme Court based on what was heard in
Court.

Hart further stated that upon receipt and extensive study of the CTC of the Appeal Court Judgment, additional grounds would be filed where necessary at the Supreme Court.
