Nigeria's economy has gone out of Buhari's control - Lai Mohammed
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Saturday lamented that the economic situation in the country has spiraled out of government control, as the government cannot determine the price of crude or gas, Thisday reports.
He slammed those criticizing President Muhamadu Buhari over his frequent trips abroad as mischief makers. According to him, the trips, especially to the oil-producing nations, became imperative because of the urgent need to rally support for the stability of the global oil prices and also to attract Foreign Direct Investment FDI into the country.
“The is why the president cannot stay here,” he said while answering questions on a radio programme in Abuja. According to him, staying here in Nigeria is like an army general who in the face of war remains in the bunker. He said the fact that the present administration led by Buhari is still managing to drive the economy is a credit on its side.
