Aisha Buhari Calls Fayose A Mad Dog; Nigerians On Twitter React

As the battle of words between president Buhari and Ekiti state governor continues to make headlines, wife of president Buhari, Aisha has weighed in on the matter.
Wife of Nigeria’s president, Aisha Buhari, lost her cool on Tuesday evening, taking to her verified Twitter handle (@aishambuhari) and describing Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti as a “mad dog that isn’t chained”.

Her tweet is believed to be in response to allegations made by the governor linking her to a US Congressman William Jefferson’s who was convicted in 2009 for a bribery scandal. The presidency had earlier today released a statement disputing the claims of the governor and calling Fayose a man “childishly obsessed with the desire to grab the headlines and insulting people at will because of his incurably boorish instincts.”

But Aisha Buhari took to Twitter late on Tuesday to chip in a word of her own: “Enough is Enough Fayose,” she said. “A mad dog that isn’t chained. I refuse to keep quiet.”
