CBN orders bankers to declare assets

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has ordered all bank workers in the 19 deposit money banks in the country to declare their assets .

Via a circular sent to all the banks through the Banking Supervision Department of the CBN, the bank mandated all bankers to declare their assets through a court affidavit.

Sources said that the move is connected with the anti-corruption campaign of the present administration. Just 3 of the 19 deposit banks have complied so far.
