Governor Ugwuanyi to fly injured Rangers player abroad for treatment



Arrangements are being put in place to fly injured Rangers player,Ifeanyi Egwim out of the country for proper treatment to enable him play football again.
Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who visited the fractured player at the hospital yesterday promised that he will get proper treatment no matter what it will cost.

Ugwuanyi who was at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Sunday, to motivate the Flying Antelopes when they broke a 32 years trophy drought by beating hard fighting El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, 4-0 to clinch the 7th league title, was emotionally traumatized when at the 90th minute of the game, Egwim broke his ankle following a deliberate hard tackle from Elkanemi goalkeeper which earned him a Red Card. Egwim, was rushed to ParkLane Hospital in one of the stadium ambulances.
 
 The governor who was close to tears immediately after the match, came down from the VIP stand and sympathized with the players and assured them that he would be flown abroad for treatment. True to his words,Ugwuanyi has ordered the Commissioner for Sports, Charles Ndukwe, to make travel arrangements to enable Egwim get best medical attention abroad in order not to lose any of the players for continental games just around the corner.
