Kidnapped CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele's wife released
Mrs Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) Governor who was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road on Thursday by unknown gunmen have finally been released by her abductors.
Family sources told Thisday Newspaper that she was rescued “due to the gallantry of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces”, in Ugoneki near Benin City and is currently recuperating in Government House, Asaba.
Earlier it was reported that her kidnappers requested a huge ransom of N1.5 billion for her release.
