MTV MAMA 2016: Trevor Noah pulls out as host, Bonang Matheba, Yemi Alade, Nomzamo Mbatha takes over

#MTVMAMA2016: Bonang Matheba will now take over as the host of 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards which is scheduled to hold today in South Africa.

South African Comedian Trevor Noah who was earlier announced as host pulled out barely 24 hours to the event due to some health issues.

Noah took to social media to announce to fans across Africa that he was forced to cancel the hosting gig due to a severe ear infection that has effected his vocal chords. He added that he was obeying medical advice to rest, preventing him from traveling for the show.

Following the development, MAMA 2016 organizers has announced South African media personality Bonang Matheba as host while Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade  and South African Actress and Model, Nomzamo Mbatha will co-host with Bonang.

The announcement on Friday, October 21, 2016 at a press conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.

All is set for the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards holding today, 22nd Oct, 2016 at Northgate Ticket Pro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa.
