MTV MAMA 2016: Wizkid is the biggest winner!

Nigerian pop star, Wizkid emerged the biggest winner at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards #MTVMAMA2016, Winning top three categories Best Male, Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration.

The recognition meted out to Wizkid only goes to endorse his undeniable force in 2016 as seen in his exporting of African sound to the international music scene such as the chart topping record breaking international collaboration in 'One dance' featuring American rapper, Drake

The singer has since steadily been making waves, gaining strides and introducing the American and international music market to the peculiar sounds emanating from Africa.

This feat from the star boy is inspiring and encouraging other artists to push their music beyond the shores of Africa.

The sixth edition of the MTV Africa Music Awards which held on Saturday October 22, 2016 at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa, also saw other Nigerian artistes come out successful in their categories.

Yemi Alade (Best Female), Tekno (Best Breakthrough Act), and Patoranking's 'My Woman, My Everything' featuring Wande Coal (Song of The Year).
