Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Tekno win big at MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) 2016

The 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards (#MTVMAMA2016) will surely live a lasting impression in the minds of many, the prestigious ceremony which held at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday 22nd October 2016 saw Nigerian StarBoy Wizkid winning the top categories of Best Male, Artist of the year, and Best Collaboration.

Nigerian Songstress, Yemi Alade also won her category of Best Female, making her the first female to win the award back to back, having won Best Female at MTV MAMA 2015, Yemi Alade did it again at MTV MAMA 2016.

Meanwhile Nigerian reggae-dance hall singer, Patoranking wins Song of the year, with his smashing hit "My Woman" featuring Wande Coal.

Finally Nigerian Singer, Tekno wins Best Breakthrough Artiste. Olamide, Ycee, Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello and others miss out despite multiple nominations.
