Femi Fani-Kayode released after 24 days in detention, see his first statement


Femi Fani-Kayode, former spokesman for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation and ex-Minister of Aviation, who was arrested by EFCC operatives on October 21st on allegations of N26 million money laundering charges is finally out of prison after 24 days in detention.


Following his release today by a Federal High Court in Abuja, Femi Fani-Kayode has attributed his freedom to God.


In his first message on social media since his arrest, he wrote: "Thanks be to God. After another 24 days in detention I am finally out. Thanks for all ur love, prayers and support. We shall prevail."

He further added: "Always remember that rebellion against a tyrant is an act of obedience to God. They may have today but tomorrow belongs to us."

Fani Kayode was released on the 14th of November after he met his N50M bail conditions. This was revealed in an official statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jude Ndukwe.
