GoFundMe Refunds Those Who Paid for #SaveMayowa Campaign

Online Donation platform, GoFundMe is reportedly refunding those who those who raised over N30M last year for Ovarian cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed.

This is coming months after Mayowa died amidst controversies which surrounded the alleged fraudulent fund raising campaign for her, recall reports alleged that the family tried to defraud unsuspecting donors after they got more than what was initially requested for.

Unfortunately, Mayowa passed on in August. Donors are reporting that GoFundMe, the platform through which they made the donations, are refunding their money.

A source, shared a screenshot of the refund notification she got from the online donation platform. According to message, the money will be made available in 3-7 business days.
