Barcelona sue Neymar over PSG move

FC Barcelona has filed law suit against Neymar over bleach of contract after his move to Paris St-Germain

Football giant Barcelona filed a law suit against former player Neymar. The lawsuit was submitted on 11 August to the Labour Tribunal in Barcelona.

He was sued for 8.5m euros (£7.8m) over his recent world record move to his new club Paris St-Germain.
Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, made a 222m euro (£200m) move to Paris St-Germain after his release clause was activated by the French club.

However his former club Barcelona want him to return a previously signed contract renewal bonus, reason being that he did not complete the contract before the move, and al so pay sn additional 10% for delayed payment of the money.

Barcelona also requests Paris St-Germain take on responsibility for the payment of these fees if the player cannot do so himself. This is not the first time the club is suing their former employee, Juan Laporta looking to hold him responsible for alleged losses during his term of office, and they lost that case.
