Police Detains Queen’s College Teacher Accused of Sexually Molesting Girls

Olaseni Osifala, the Queen’s College teacher accused of sexually molesting girls, is now with the Nigerian police.

According to Sahara Reporters, the teacher reported at the police station on Monday. And after hours of interrogation, he was not allowed to go home, the reason being that this was not the first time he would complain about being falsely accused.

Osifala reportedly said he was targeted out of jealousy.

Sahara Reporters also confirms that planned protest organised by the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), which Queen’s College teachers belong to, was called off.

“We called it off to avoid violence and misunderstanding of our position on the issue,” Abiodin Oladejo, the Chairman of the Queen’s College chapter of the union, said.

Meanwhile, following a call by the Queen’s College Old Girls’ Association (QCOGA), ministerial panelists and organisations including UNICEF, Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Sports, will be investigating the case.
